The device was good overall and came with 100% battery capacity, which was really nice. Everything functioned properly, and I didn’t have any major issues with the phone.
The only thing I wish was better was the screen. It appears to be a replacement screen rather than an original Apple screen. It works fine, but the bezels are a little noticeable and kind of throw me off compared to what I’m used to.
Another issue I ran into is that I’m not able to add AppleCare to the device. From what I found online, it may have originally been a store demo phone that Apple cleared without coverage. That said, it is a legitimate iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the IMEI matches the device, so I’m not concerned about it being fake or anything like that. For anyone wondering, Apple’s website shows the coverage as having expired on April 2, 1978 💀. So yeah… definitely weird.
Other than that, the phone arrived faster than UPS originally predicted, which was a nice surprise.
Honestly, I’d say RefurbLane is a pretty good place for refurbished tech. I also bought a 16-inch 2019 MacBook Pro from them in “Good” condition. It came with a scratch on the bottom, but other than that, it works great and I’ve had little to no problems with it so far.
I only bought the MacBook about a year ago, so hopefully my next review will just be me continuing to glaze RefurbLane
