I'm loving this vintage iPhone 8... so thin, lightweight, and with the original design language that everyone loved; the home button, swipe to turn off, the silent mode switch, etc. This phone came as described virtually as it came brand new, no scuffs, blemishes or scratches. I'll certainly be using RefurbLane for future tech goodies!

Yes. I received the iPhone 8. I have not had time to copy data from iPhone 16pro. Will all data transfer , contacts, text messages, photos. ? What about apps? Maybe some apps will not work on iPhone 8. What is meant by unlocked? Look forward to your reply. Ernest Youngblood

The phone looks brand new. No imperfections even by gentle use. It was delivered as stated & packaged in a nice box with a screen protector, cord, and a sims card removal key. I have always had an android and I'm going through a learning curve with all the bells and whistles to learn about. It's incredible what this phone will do. The cost of a new iPhone is absorbent and I feel like I got a steal with the price of the phone. I will never consider buying a new phone again. This is a great secure site to purchase from. They live up to their words and you can be assured of the quality of the product.

Holy ****. My iPhone 8 from Buyback Boss is described as "Fair: minor scratches and dents on screen on body. Might be visible" The moment I saw the word "scratches and dents... might be visible" I was damn SCARED like WTF. Even worse... the price on this phone was so cheap compared to average market price... so the phone might be badly scratched I thought.... Turned out... when I got the actual product, it's NEAR FLAWLESS. There's hardly any scratches at all!! NO DENT!! Everything works like a new phone. Battery health is at 99%... 99% YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. I guess BuyBack Boss does replace the battery before re-selling their used phones. Other than the phone, they also included a charging cable. I am extremely satisfied with this so called "used" iPhone. Might as well just call it new.

I ordered a Fair condition silver iPhone 8. Came with 89% battery health, in incredible cosmetic condition for fair! It looked like it is Mint condition! Put my case on it, screen protector. Connected to my Bluetooth headphones faster than my 6s. It came with a brand new charger and charging box, in a box. Updated to iOS 14.5 amazing! Love it! It was delivered 3 days earlier than expected!

This is a rather long story, but worth reading through. I had ordered an iPhone 8 in mint condition. When I received it, I thought the screen was scratched (this however was a protective layer added over the screen used as they test the phone. Before I knew this, I had started to pack the phone up to resend and noticed that it was not the model I had requested. I initially ordered an A1863 (needed this model so that it would work on CDMA and GSM networks because we use secondary mobile carriers). I brought this to the attention of Back

Definitely extremely good quality. Very pleased with the physical state and functionality of the phone. I got the “gold” level of use and only a few shallow scratches on the screen, visible when the phone is off. Also the battery is at 96% capacity, very nice compared to the iPhone 6 I bought from Ebay, which needed it’s replaced a week after I got the phone. In fact I just discovered that my phone happens to have a few months left of apple care! The silver color is very pretty and the cheapest. I really like the storage capacity of 256gb, that is definitely worth extra money for those with many pictures. I got this after having a glitchy iPhone 6 with a broken home button and I am very happy that I was able to find such a good deal on a much faster and capable phone. I would definitely recommend this website, and product. Another thing, when buying refurbished it is better to get more recent models if you want o e that hasn’t been used as much, since it has not been out as long on the market.

Bought a "shiny" grade iPhone 8 64Gb Space Gray (model A1905) - my order was fulfilled by Digital Tech (understand that RefurbLane is a 3rd party storefront for many refurbishers). Summary: despite one minor issue (below) I'm very happy & will order from RefurbLane again when the rest of my family needs new phones. The phone is close to new & the savings versus new allowed me to buy MUCH more phone. Detail: * Shipping: ordered on July 2nd, arrived on July 8th (though as of July 12th, RefurbLane's site shows it as "just shipped"!). This was via standard USPS shipping. Pretty good considering it was over the July 4th holiday period. * Packaging: the phone was protected front & rear by plastic film & wrapped in bubble wrap. * Accessories: as promised, came with an off brand wall charger and cable. * Condition: the phone is in "shiny" condition - everything (buttons etc.) looks to be in place, it's very clean & no visible scratches at all. The liquid contact indicator looks normal (so no water damage). * Functionality: everything works - all buttons, haptics, fingerprint sensor, compass, both cameras, WiFi, Bluetooth, speaker & cellular (LTE on T-Mobile) * Battery: is at 90% of maximum capacity & "supporting normal peak performance" (RefurbLane promises at least 80%) One issue: I received model A1863. I'm OK with this since it has the same GSM/LTE bands as A1905 & will work with my carrier. Hopefully this was deliberate as the reverse (ordering A1863 & receiving A1905) would be a PITA for Verizon subscribers.

Considering that we purchased a BRONZE-level phone, we got lucky in that the quality of the scratches were considerably far better than what we expected. Upon opening the refurbished product, the battery health showed maximum capacity of 100%, which seemed to indicate a completely new one!! RefurbLane is an excellent store for refurbished products - we really appreciate the fact that all suppliers are fully and thoroughly vetted in advance, and the products are described with as much detail and intention for transparency. We were especially careful to choose an item that originated from US/Europe as opposed to Japan, mainly because of the inability to turn off Japanese/Korea-originated phones' camera shutter sounds. Delivery was quick, just the right amount of communication. Very happy with the phone and overall service!!

Should I buy an unlocked iPhone 8?

When you buy an unlocked iPhone 8, you'll have multiple options for choosing a carrier network. It is the safest option if you're not already locked into a long term contract with a network like Verizon, T-Mobile or AT&T. With an unlocked phone, you also have the option to easily switch between different network providers if you need to.

However, if you're happy with your current network provider and you don't plan on switching any time soon, you might save a little more money by shopping for an iPhone locked to a carrier. Locked phones tend to cost less than unlocked phones on average.

Whichever you option you pick, RefurbLane has plenty of options to help you find an iPhone 8 at a low price.

Locked vs Unlocked iPhone

Which networks can I use an unlocked iPhone 8?

Your unlocked iPhone 8 from RefurbLane will work with all 3 major carriers in the US: AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. Since it is compatible with all 3 networks, you can also activate it under each of their Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) including Mint, Straight Talk, US Mobile, Cricket, Boost Mobile, Google Fi, Metro and others.

Unlocked iPhone 8 warranty and return policy

All locked or unlocked iPhone 8 purchases on RefurbLane come with free standard shipping, a 1-year warranty, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. We want to make sure you can shop with confidence and find the best iPhone 8 for your needs at the lowest price. In the rare case that any defects arise (outside of accidental damage) within 12 months of your delivery date, then you're entitled to your choice of a repair, replacement or reimbursement.

What to expect when buying a refurbished unlocked iPhone 8

When you buy an unlocked iPhone 8 from RefurbLane, you'll be receiving a phone that has not been activated with any network yet. It's still a fully functional device, but you will not be able to make any calls, text or access the internet without Wi-Fi until it has been properly activated with a carrier of your choice.

Activating your iPhone 8 might look slightly depending on the network, but you can learn more about the activation process on our help page.

iPhone Trade In

If you already have an iPhone that you're looking to replace, consider trading it into RefurbLane to give you a little extra budget for your next smartphone upgrade.
