The underappreciated creativity of laptop stickers | RefurbLane

Many of us decorate our laptops with stickers, but as writer James Balmont discovers, this habit is both psychologically rewarding and something that can normalise imperfect tech.

I'm adjusting to a smaller screen and keyboard, but it takes NO adjustment to having more processing power! This is my very first refurbished device in my life. So far it's been a good experience. Since it's a good thing for the environment (and my wallet), I feel virtuous as well as clever.

Works great, was able to wipe Windows and install my OS and it works great. The fair rating had me anticipating a bit of wear on the device but it's super clean, the most roughed up part was the sticker specifying the GPU. Absolutely will keep using RefurbLane for my refurbished devices.

I needed a new laptop that would power my new XTool F1 laser engraver. The ProBook 640 G8 has everything I need to keep my laser working at its peak performance. The computer is awesome! I think the condition is much better than “fair”, it’s in excellent condition and is doing exactly what I need it to do for a fraction of the price of something brand new. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and will recommend RefurbLane.com to anyone I know looking for professionally refurbished laptop computer. Sincerely, Eric J. Mullins

I am very pleased with the laptop. In terms of its condition, it has no scratches or wear marks. The touchscreen works perfectly, and I really enjoy the features. The battery life is not great; however, it does not pose a problem because I mostly use it at home. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this product! It was a great deal that I wouldn't have been able to get anywhere else!

Fantastic purchase. Three small marks on the case otherwise absolutely beautiful. Works well traded windows on it for MX Linux and it runs incredible. Best purchase I have made in awhile. Purchased to replace a 13 year old Toshiba. Would definitely buy from RefurbLane again.

I am very impressed and satisfied with my refurbished dell latitude 5440 purchase. The computer specs were 100% as described and the physical condition is way better than what I thought it was going to be. The battery health is excellent. I received it two days ahead of schedule. I highly recommend the seller. Thank you!!!

Shipment was actually a day early, which was a very pleasant surprise. The laptop was packed securely and well-padded - thumbs up. The machine booted right up after unboxing and performed like a dream!

This is the first time I ordered from RefurbLane and the seller IT Supply Guy. It was a very good buying experience for me. The device I ordered shipped in a very timely matter with some tracking. I was charged for what it was listed for on the site. I expected it to be just an okay physical condition device to arrive to me. Instead my expectation was replaced by what looked to be an excellent physical shape (like a brand new laptop and charger). Not even a scuff mark or any wear or tear! It arrived in a good cardboard box and had decent shipping material protecting it. A new out of the box OS was loaded on the laptop and it was ready for me to start setting it up (like you would from a store). I ran tests on the hardware using the internal diagnostic tools from Dell and a couple of 3rd party programs I installed. Everything checked out in excellent shape (including the battery). I’ve had this laptop for three weeks now at least and have used it almost every single day. Everything is running smoothly and as expected. I had a question about the charge on my card and the customer service at RefurbLane was very prompt and replied back to me. My question I had was answered very happily by them and throughly satisfactory. Everything they said checked out perfectly with my bank. I would purchase another device from RefurbLane and this seller again based on my experience from this transaction.
